Hi everyone and welcome to the Operation Write Home blog Hop! I have created 2 Christmas cards. The scripture stamp is from Inspired Stamps and they are one of the great sponsors today! Be sure you click on the above images so you can see all the Christmas goodness! I support our servicemen and women because it is the RIGHT thing to do.
The first card reflects all the vintage goodness I have been perusing on the web lately! I am under the "vintage influence"! I love how it turned out! I used Inspired Stamps "Blessed Little Christmas" stamps for the verse and the embossed stars.
The 2nd card is the one I actually started with but wasn't thrilled with it and started over with the vintage one. I still don't love this card but wanted to show you this so you could see the scripture stamp more clearly. It's also the first time I have used Liquid Applique for snow-FUN!
Supplies for Vintage card besides Inspired Stamps: CTMH Kraft paper, CTMH ink and embossing powder, buttons and gold rick-rack from stash, trees cut with Art Philosophy CTMH Cricut cart, patterned paper from MME "Lost and Found Christmas", MS butterfly punch, CTMH tree stamp "Holiday Magic"
Supplies for Blue Card besides Insp. Stamps: CTMH cardstock and Wonderland patterned paper , twine, Moonlight CTMH ink, Liquid Applique
Love your vintage look cards!

Nice job combing papers and I like the subdued green, burgundy & kraft colors that give the first card that vintage feel. The buttons are a nice touch too. Thanks for supporting OWH!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are wonderful! The first one has a lot of great elements and the variety of papers and stamps work well. The second is light and wintery feeling. Well done on both!

The vintage style is great - like that you did a sepia card and a blue card!
ReplyDeleteWow, these are both great.
ReplyDeletethe vintage card is great with the 'nature' accents that are so not 'Christmas' but still are. The blue card I like because I love using Liquid Applique for snow! and if you aren't making them for the troops....a little glitter sprinkled on when it's still wet is cool.
ReplyDeleteLove those vintage colors for Christmas and i like blue for winter ones, too. TFS
ReplyDeleteI like the tag on the first card; and the twine completes the second one. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteThe vintage feel of your first card is really special! They are both wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI like them both, but I love the tag on the first card combined with the bit of shine on the rickrack.
ReplyDeleteLove the hues of blue for the blue card - very nice, :)
ReplyDeleteI like the vintage feel of this card. :)
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautiful. But I love vintage and I love tags, so that makes the first one my fave. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI like both of your cards as well as the others that I saw.
ReplyDeleteI actually like the blue one! Thanks for sharing with OWH!
ReplyDeleteBelinda,
ReplyDeleteYour cards are STUNNING!! I absolutely love the Scripture paired with the vintage look...reminds me of kraft paper wrapped Christmas presents under the tree years ago! So glad you joined the OWH hop!!
hugs and blessings!
Both cards are so pretty, but I actually like the simplicity of the blue one better!
ReplyDeleteMore CTMH! Yay! I love it! I can't wait to work with that kraft paper. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Your artwork shows a lot of creativity and imagination. And I like the greeting text that you chose.
ReplyDeleteGreat card!
ReplyDeleteAnd as a military wife, let me say thank you for sending your hard work to those who could use a pick me up. :)
