Inspired Stamps Sneaky Peeky and 150 Followers Winner

I am in love with this sweet new stamp from inspired stamps!  I promise it's not just because I had a tiny hand in her creation:)  This is the stamp I suggested in the recent contest and WON!  I asked for a stamp of one of the characters that could "hold" various items in their hands.  Antoinette really took the idea and did wonders with it.  The result is this fabulous large size His Little Ones Winter Ruth that will go on sale Friday at noon.  She comes with several "hands" holding various items and some great sentiments you can use throughout the winter months.

I just had to  create something special with Winter Ruth and I chose to place her on a glass block.  Since there's a hole in the bottom of the block, I can add white Christmas lights to the inside for extra sparkle.  I adhered a piece of snowflake paper to the back of the block.  After stamping Ruth, I colored her with Copics and added bits of Glitz glitter glue and Liquid Applique for her coat trim and snow on the ground and tree.  Ribbon, sparkles and snowflakes complete the wintry scene.  I chose the ornament and pop dotted in place to really create a great effect.

There are other wonderful new stamps that are featured this week on the inspired stamps blog  and the Design Team's blogs so be sure to go check them all out!  AND SURPRISE!  You can use this coupon code for 40% off!!!

I finally reached 150 followers and as promised I will be sending "Thankful Girl" to...Sheila H. who said
"I've never heard of chalk paper! I'm a follower and I told a couple of friends about your blog."
Congrats and thanks Sheila!  Please send me your address and I'll get your stamp in the mail to you right away!
More news from Antoinette  and the inspired stamps blog:  "Inspired Stamps is teaming up with Vera Yates (Ling) and Jennifer McGuire, along with a number of other stamp and paper crafting companies to donate cards to
This is such a fabulous way to make someone's Christmas BRIGHTER!  All you have to do is make a Christmas Card (or cards) and mail it to either Jennifer or Vera and they will be getting all the cards donated to nursing homes so the elderly that are there on Christmas will receive a beautiful, hand-made card with a hand-written message!  Isn't that just a wonderful thought...YOUR card will be truly loved and treasured, making someone smile and feel loved!  I love this idea so much that for every card I make for Cards that Care, I'm making an extra to bring to my local nursing home on Christmas Day.

If you are interested in participating, I have devoted our November Christmas Card Contest tab at the top of this (inspired stamps) blog to this.  You can find all the instructions there!  A big hug and thank you to Vera and Jennifer for all they are doing to make someone's Christmas this year"
