Altered Frame

I taught a class for a lady's birthday party and this is what we made.  The idea for the mini book in a frame was not my idea but the design is mine.  We had a blast and everyone's frame turned out differently depending on the personality and style of the creator.

All products were purchased at Michaels.

Romantic Name Album

This is my 2nd "commissioned" name album.  I had a lot of fun creating it because the customer requested romantic with green, pink and creams.  So, that left the design wide open for me.  I designed this with my Cricut and Gypsy and used the Storybook font cartridge.  The majority of the paper is from Close To My Heart.  Ribbons and Embellishments are from my stash and some are CTMH.  I used Chocolate ink from CTMH to "antique" the edges.

This is also my entry for this week's H2H challenge to make something with hearts.  There are hearts throughout this entire album.

Veteran's Day Blog Hop-Trifold Album

I'm so thankful for our veterans and our current service men and women!  My Dad served in WWII as a young man.  In fact, like so many  others, he left high school before graduation to serve. He talked many times over the years about lacking just a few credits to graduate but he and my mom married soon after he came home from the war and then started a family.  He never completed those credits to get his diploma but he worked hard and provided for his 5 children and raised us well.

When the state of Texas decided to allow schools to award diplomas to WWII vets who had left school to serve, I jumped right in and made sure Dad received his diploma.  The small town of Spur even invited us down to award it to Dad on one of their high school awards night.  Dad was so proud and we were all beaming with pride as well.  This photo is of him and my son who graduated that year.  Grandson and Grandpa both have the same graduation year of 2005!

Now, on to my project.  This Tri-fold album was so much fun to make!

I used the  "July Word Puzzle" stamp set from Close To My Heart.  I also used a couple of stamps from "Celebrate Life". The papers are from the CTMH  collections of Cherry O and Sweet Home.  Stamp inks are Indian Corn Blue and Tulip.  The colonial white flowers and title chipboards are CTMH but other embellies are from my stash.  If you'd like to make your own, you can find directions on-line at various sites, just search "tri-fold album" or "tri-fold card".  God Bless our Veterans!!!!

Swap Book

This is the cover I put together for the mini album that was created through Kopperhead's recent swap.  I used some of my favorite "inchie" works of art that I made or received in a swap earlier this year.  The grid idea was Kopperhead's and I just love how it highlights the inchies and how quick and easy it is to put together.  Thanks for looking!  Now I have to figure out what to do on the inside and back covers!
