God’s Word
Galatians 6:9 (NIV) Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

My Thoughts
On a recent day of total frustration with the difficulties I faced, this song popped on the radio and stopped my little pity party. I didn’t hear the first words but it caught my ear when I heard “would you dare would you dare to believe that you still have a reason to sing? Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling , it can’t compare to the joy that’s coming.” All God asks of us is to dare to believe. Dare to believe that He is in control. Dare to believe that He holds the answers. Dare to believe that He can heal. Dare to believe that He can do the miraculous.

Then the song really hit home with me in the next words “My friend you know how this all ends, you know where you’re going. You just don’t know how you’ll get there. So say a prayer”. Yes, I know this all ends with God’s triumphant victory over death, hell and the grave and with Satan’s imprisonment. I know I am going to my heavenly home to live with my King for all of eternity. None of us knows how we’ll get there so sitting in our pity is wasted time when we could be seeking God in prayer.
Later, I looked up the lyrics to the song on the internet and was so thankful that God spoke these words to these gifted songwriters. As so happens in a struggle that lasts for many years, I needed a reminder of my responsibility in this fight. I must “Press on and just fight the good fight.” Every single painful moment on this earth is a minor blip on the screen of eternity. “Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling, it’s just the dark before the morning! And hold on cause there’s good for those who love God, but life is not a snapshot. It might take a little time but you’ll see the bigger picture”. We truly see just a dot of the whole picture, our Father sees the whole picture. He knows what will happen in the next millisecond and the next millennium. We have to know that “maybe there are things you can’t see and all those things are happening to bring a better ending .” A better ending for me, a better ending for you, a better ending for every blood bought believer of Christ.
My friend, my heartfelt prayer is that you will remember that our afflictions and our pain and our burdens are nothing in the face of eternity. Yes, we are human and we will hurt and we will have moments we feel we can’t take one more breath but with that breath if we would breathe the name of Jesus we will find that the next breath and the next will come with a peace that wasn’t there before, a peace the world will never understand.
You are His precious lamb, dare to believe He will never abandon you in your pain or turn His back on your fight. Dare to believe God is. God was. God will always be. He is bringing your morning and “once you feel the weight of glory all your pain will fade to memory.”
