WOW!
I am so excited and honored to have been chosen as a highlight in the Cricut Chirp! newsletter. They featured the nursery nightlight that's pictured below. Welcome to all the newbies to my blog because of that post!

Gift for hubby
I made this for my sweetie for Valentines. He gave me tickets to Fiddler on the Roof at Bass Hall! This was super simple to make. I started with a purchased canvas and photos of our handsome boys. I cut the letters from vinyl with the "Winter Woodlands" cart from Cricut. I tore the photos and then used "grey wool" ink pad from CTMH to add color to the torn edges. I also used grey wool and black ink pads to add some "distressing" to the sides of the canvas. I added some vintage looking brads and charms that were in my stash. I just used the Xyron to adhere the photos,. Since this is my first canvas, I am anxious to see if it will hold up or if I need to use mod podge from now on.
nursery nightlight
This was special ordered by my DIL to give as a gift for a new baby. I think it's the most color I've used on a glass block light but it matches the layette in the nursery. The background is vellum and for the name, I used the font from "Winter Woodlands"-LOVE this cart from Cricut. The ladybug is from Walk in My Garden and the whale and octopus were cut from Life is a Beach. For the polka dots on the letters, I just used my Copic markers. I have been buying all my vinyl from www.expressionsvinyl.com. FANTASTIC prices, huge color choices, and fast shipping.
