Inspired Stamps Patriotic Card

I am so thankful for the men and women who have given their lives to protect our country and our freedom. I pray their sacrifice will never be in vain.

Be sure to visit the Inspired Stamps Etsy shop to purchase your patriotic stamps before July 4th. I used the Soldier Boy stamp as well as Joshua 1:9.

Operation Write Home Blog Hop

I am celebrating Memorial Day by joining in the Operation Write Home BlogHop.  You can click on the logo above to be taken to all the wonderful blog links.  I made a "To Any Hero" card.  When you donate a card to OWH and send it in for any serviceman, be sure to  include a handwritten note of gratitude inside.
I used Stamps from Inspired Stamps that I thought fit perfectly for Memorial Day.  They are the 2x2 single
Scripture Stamp 1 Cor. 15:57 and the Hymn Girl: Armor of God. And the great news is all stamps are on sale at Inspired Stamps!

Inspired Stamps Thursday

My newlywed niece is enduring her first time as a deployed Marine's wife.  I thought this card might cheer her up a bit and it fits the assignment for this week's card at Inspired Stamps.  I used the Patriotic Girl with Heart stamp and the single 2x2 scripture stamp, Psalm 28:7.  I used my Copics to color the stamped images.

Inspired Stamps Memorial Day Card

Inspired Stamps wishes to have you join us in honoring the memory of our servicemen and women who have given their lives in service to their country.  We should also take time to thank those who are still with us and are fighting or have fought for our country.  I can not imagine the level of commitment and sacrifice so many have given and are giving.

I chose to make a card to send to Operation Write Home for any service member.  My sweet Soldier w/Flag  is attached to the front of the card on an adhesive spring that allows him to "wave" his flag when he is pulled from the envelope.  The single scripture stamp Deuteronomy 31:8 is one I especially love and use often.

The inside is simple and uses 2 stamps I have put together from the More Perfect Sentiments stamp set.  Please check out the team's projects on their blogs or at www.inspiredstamps.blogspot.com!

other supplies: Copics and CTMH

USA Wall Hanging-H2H Challenge

For some reason, I have very few 4th of July decorations for my home.  I decided to add to my measly collection when I saw the Color Challenge at www.heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com.  The challenge is to use Barn Red, Bamboo and any Blue in your project.

I chose Moonstruck as my blue to brighten up the other 2 colors.  I had a few leftover pieces from the Mix &
Mingle album and decided to put them to good use as a wall hanging.  I used 2 clear acrylic and 1 chipboard piece.  You can click on the image to see it more clearly.  I added white to the mix by embossing some of the stars.  The other stars were either stamped or cut out of the patterned paper that I also used for the letters.  I am happy with my project and hope you enjoy it as well!
