Inspired Stamps Scripture Card

Time for another visit to Inspired Stamps! For today's card I used the 2x2 Joshua 1:9 stamp. These Scripture stamps are the perfect size for a card. This scripture stamp is one I use often to encourage friends and family going through a difficult time. Be sure to stop by the Inspired Stamps blog to see what the rest of the team created.

Inspired Stamps Bible Art Journal Stamps

Today I am sharing a card using the Inspired Stamps Colorable Words Bible Journaling stamp set. This set is great for using in your Journaling artwork, especially if you don't like your handwriting. It has several words to stamp and color with your favorite medium. I used a premade watercolor pocket card that already had the gold arrows imprinted on it. I then used a MISTI to align and stamp the words. Last step was to use a waterbrush and watercolors to brush the color over the words. A very quick card to make that packs a punch!

Baby on My Mind-Inspired Stamps

It's great to be back! I have much to share about my absence but for today I am sharing a baby card using Inspired Stamps' HLO Sincerely Girl stamp. I chose to use watercolors and a water brush to color her. It is a relaxing past time and I like the soft, imperfect look.

I chose to do a baby card because it seems babies are being born all around me, including my precious new grandson!.  So, I need to have a good stack of baby cards on hand.

I hope you will stop by the IS Blog and see the other cards using their cute character stamps.

New Inspired Stamps

I'm so excited to let you know there are new stamps in the Inspired Stamps store! I am sharing the Bible Art Journaling: Word Mix 4-Christmas Stamp Set. This card shows all but 2 of the words that are available in this awesome set.  I intended to use these words as a background for a fancier card but once I adhered the water colored words to the card base, I just couldn't cover any of it up!

Sometimes simple is best.

Be sure to head to the Inspired Stamps Blog later on Thursday to see the rest of the creations using the other new stamps. I believe the stamps will be available in the Etsy store on Friday afternoon.

Inspired Stamps Panel Card

We are bringing you Christmas Cards this week at Inspired Stamps. I decided to share a panel card using the precious Nativity Stamp Set.

I cut a 6x12 white sheet of cardstock and then scored and folded every 3 inches. I then cut and adhered the banner pieces on each panel. To continue the shiny gold look, I used gold embossing powder on each stamped image and then ran the edges of their mats through Versamark ink and embossed with the gold powder. I love it so much I may have to make more before the big day!

My Favorite Hymn Line Stamp

Inspired Stamps' Design Team has been on extended break but we're back! This card reminds me why I love Inspired Stamps. It is wonderful to be able to utilize these awesome designs in an encouraging card for a friend.

This stamp is Hymn Girl: Armor of God and I simply stamped her on white, cut out and used a sponge dauber to add a little ink around the edges. I used the Joshua 1:9 stamp for the scripture.

Hope  you enjoy this card and are glad to see us back!

Inspired Stamps Wedding Card

Don't you just love this sweet bride and groom (stamps from Inspired Stamps)?  Each one is less than $5! I used Copics to color part of them but you could even leave them uncolored for an all white card. Here's to happy marriages!

Inspired Stamps Alphabet

It's almost Mother's Day and Inspired Stamps has versatile alphabet stamps that allow you to spell out any message.  I used the Colorable Alphabet Stamp set for this card.  Instead of coloring the inside though, I used Stickles to add sparkle to the letters.

I used my CTMH Cricut Artfully Sent cartridge to cut this card and this is the gorgeous inside.

Inspired Stamps Mother's Day Card

The design team at Inspired Stamps is sharing Mother's Day cards today. When I think of Mother's Day, I always think of purple because it is my dear 88 year old mom's favorite color. Any shade delights her as long as it is in the purple family.  She looks beautiful wearing any of her MANY purple outfits!

My card is elegant but simple and I used the lovely Uppercase Sketchy Alphabet Stamps set to add the word "Mom".

Inspired Stamps "Belinda's Bokeh"

I have been wanting to try the "Bokeh" technique for some time. When Inspired Stamps' design team was asked to share a "green" card today, I thought it was a perfect time to experiment! To create circles, I used the BACK of one of the Inspired Stamps 1.5" Circle Sentiments Stamps and the solid circle stamp from the Card Ministry Stamp set. For the smaller white circles, I used a sponge dauber. I'm not sure my design does the technique justice so I will call it "Belinda's Bokeh"!

The word stamp is from the amazingly versatile Colorable Words set. For the inside scripture, I chose to use one from my new fave, Signature Scriptures.

Inspired Stamps Encouragement Card

I'm back!  I took a little break from blogging and I've returned today with a card using Inspired Stamps.  I love this Hymn Girl: September with her paintbrush.  I pop dotted her in front of the butterflies as if she had just painted them.  I also stamped the word "praying" on the butterfly "canvas", it is from the same stamp set as the one I used for the inside of the card, Draw Near in Prayer.

Inspired Stamps Love Card

Did you miss me? My holidays seemed to just keep going and going but I'm finally back for the New Year! Today I am sharing a super simple card highlighting the beautiful Hymn Girls: Heart to Cheek stamp from Inspired Stamps. I began my process initially coloring the stamped image with Copics but it just seemed to overpower the image.  So I decided to go "outside the box" and leave her white.  Since she was so simple, she needed a simple background-enter the humble red doily heart on a white base!  I seldom use a plain white card base but I like this so much, I may begin to do it more.  Lest the card be too plain, I added a sweet knotted red and white ribbon and called it done.

This design would be super simple to make in multiples to send to several lucky Valentines.  I know I will be giving one to my newest Valentine, my beautiful grand daughter, who was born the week of Christmas.  This Mimi is over the moon in love with her!

I blinked and it's December! How about you? Thanksgiving was a lovely time but now I'm ready to enjoy the few fleeting days of Christmas festivities.  Today I am sharing one of the sweet His Little Ones stamp from Inspired Stamps.  This is the outside of the card and I have used a sentiment stamp from another favorite Christmas stamp set, Nativity Set

The inside of the card uses a scripture from the beautiful Poinsettia Stamp Set. I hope you enjoy this Holy season! Next week I will share an inspirational gift you can make that will encourage someone throughout the year.

Inspired Stamps Waterfall Tutorial

Today I am sharing a tutorial on a waterfall card using Inspired Stamps sweet Nativity set. Because the cutting and folding takes a little time, I kept the stamping very simple. I used to think this had to be  really difficult card to do found it's actually quite simple.

My card is 5x7 so start with a base of 10x7 folded in half.  You will also need 4 squares for your mats cut at 3x3 and 4 plain squares of 2 3/4"x2 3/4". I then used a light touch with a sponge to add color to the white squares and then inked the edges darker.  After they were all inked, I used a dark blue to stamp the images.
Adhere each of the stamped images onto a mat.

Next cut a plain cardstock strip to 2 3/4" x 12". Then score the strip at 3", 3 3/4", 4 1/2" and 5 1/4". Fold on the score lines-as shown (all mountain folds).
Choose your bottom image and adhere it to the 2 3/4' square left from the 1st fold.

Pay close attention for the next image to only put adhesive on the strip, then carefully line up next image square over adhesive and right next to fold-not over or under it. Continue with last 2 squares.

I adhered coordinating cardstock to the bottom inside flap of my strip. Now cut a coordinating strip of cardstock 1"x5" and another 2"x5".  Center and adhere 1" piece to the edge of back of bottom square.
Attach ends of 1" piece over 2" piece with brads-NO adhesive

Use adhesive on back of 2x5" piece and  adhere only to your card front approx 3/4' from bottom of card front.. The back of your waterfall strip should NOT be attached or glued to anything.  Slide it between your 1" and 2" strips between the brads. it becomes your pull "tab"
