Inspired Stamps 2x2 Single Scriptures

Today's post is not one of my typical projects.  This has not been a typical week! Our youngest son (of 3) graduated from high school on Saturday and we had a huge celebration with friends and family following the ceremony.  When planning the decor, I knew I wanted to incorporate scripture and of course, the simplest way to do that was to use the Inspired Stamps Single Scripture Stamps. 

I used 3 different stamps to help decorate this printer's tray.  They are on the right in this photo-Micah 6:8, Ephesians 2:10 and Ephesians 6:11.  I wanted to create a display for his photos that also held meaning and I believe this did exactly what I wanted!

Mixed Media with Inspired Stamps

Good  Saturday everyone! I had so much fun with this project! It really came together quickly and will now go in my kitchen as soon as we are done painting the walls.  If you have been visiting Inspired Stamps this month then you know we have been having a ball with Mixed Media projects.  

I chose to alter a wooden frame I picked up at Michael's for less than $2.  I first sprayed it with cherry Color Shine from Heidi Swapp.  After a few minutes it was dry enough to stamp.  

For the stamping, I used the hymn stamp from the Background Stamp Set and Memento ink.

For the ribbon, I used my favorite seam binding and sprayed it with the same spray as I used for the frame.  After spraying it, I used a paper towel to crumple it into a ball and then let it dry.  For the center of the frame,  I stamped a verse from the new stamp set Draw Near from Inspired Stamps.  I finished it off with washi tape, a fabric flower and some bling.  

Inspired Stamps Tutorial: Ribbon Calendar

It's my turn to share a tutorial as part of the Inspired Stamps Design Team!  I am excited to share a fun Christmas gift you can make fairly quickly and inexpensively.  The ribbon calendar is my daughter-in-love's favorite thing I have made for her and she requests a new one every year.  I have used Inspired Stamps for my scripture panels.

 

These are the basic supplies you will need: 5- 6x6 decorative papers (I like to grab a 6x6 paper pad), 5- 5 1/2 inch heavy cardstock sheets, roll of ribbon, mini monthly calendars, mini clothespins or decorative paper clips or bulldog clips, assorted embellishments, stamped scriptures

 

Choose the pages for your scriptures and glue down your clips.  I really love mini clothespins and you can get a box for less than $3 in the office supply section at Wal-mart.  The clothespins allow you to change out your scriptures or even use photos.

 

 Set them aside to dry well.  Cut apart your mini calendars if needed and adhere to your other 3 panels as desired.  You can try to make up your own calendars with a computer program or do what I did and spend a $1 and download one here: http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/purpleponyart

 Now it's time for the ribbon!  Line up your panels so the backs are facing up.  Space them apart as much or little as you'd like and then take the ribbon and hot glue down both sides, leaving a loop for hanging at the top.  This photo shows the 2 bottom panels.  You only need to glue the ribbon to the top of the bottom panel. I glue all 4 corners of the other panels.

 

To make the back sturdier and look neater, adhere a card stock panel to the back of each panel over the ribbon. 

 Now for the fun part!  Get out your box of embellishments and go to town! That's my "pink" box! 

For your scripture panels, cut a decorative base or use a journaling box and stamp your scriptures and any decoration.  For the top panel, I used Inspired Stamps Strength Stamp Set. For the bottom panel, I used Favorites Collection 1 Stamp Set. On both, I used the doily stamp from Lovely Lace to decorate the edges. 

 I hope you have been able to understand my tutorial and that you will find some time to make a few of your own ribbon calendars!  The clothespins allow you to change out your scriptures or even use photos.

Inspired Stamps DT Choice

 

Welcome to Inspired Stamps Designer's Choice day!  Yesterday was my 29th wedding anniversary so to commemorate that occasion, I decided to create something using a scripture we have based our lives on.  From the very beginning, we have wanted our lives and the lives of our sons to be lived in service to God. For this project, I used several stamp sets. For the sentiment, house and larger trees,  I used the adorable Home Stamp Set. 

The butterfly is from Butterflies and Blooms.  The "bushes" beside the front door are on the Whimsical Trees set.  Finally, the sweet bluebird is from Eye on the Sparrow.  I hope you enjoyed this little project!  Be sure to check out all the lovely creations at the Inspired Stamps Blog.

Philippians 4:6 Project

My sis-n-law saw read this scripture in The Message and asked me to make her a project that included it so she could read it every day.  This is the result and I really am happy with how it turned out.  Hopefully she will be as well.

I printed the scripture out with my computer printer on paper from Close To My Heart's Florentine Paper Pack.  I used the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge to cut the rolled flowers and leaves out.  The biederm flat flowers and heart are all from the Florentine Stickease pack.  The rest of the embellishments were from my stash.

Baby Girl Banner

I was asked to make a banner for a baby shower at my church. Since I only have boys, I love it when I get the opportunity to create something pink and frilly!  I can't tell you all the products that went into this creation but if it was in my scrapbook room and was pink or lacy, I glued it down!  I used my Cricut to cut out the letters and just used a hodge podge of fun fonts because I couldn't find one font that I liked all the letters.  I like how the letters are mixed and matched though.  The banner base itself is two of the $1 chipboard albums you can sometimes find at Michaels.  You can click on the picture to try to see the details a bit better.

Next banner is a baby boy one and it is promising to be just precious!

Inspired Stamps Spring Project

 

I hope you are making plans to attend an Easter Service near you this weekend.  We will be attending the 1st ever Easter Service at our 6 month old church, Christ Church West.  Our service is at 11 am if you live in West Tarrant County or Eastern Parker County.  

Because of the significance of this season, I chose to highlight an Inspired Stamps scripture from the By  His Wounds stamp set.  I saw the idea for this project on Pinterest.  It's so simple but so cute!  Just take a bulldog clip and glue it to the glass of a frame.  Insert scrapbook paper in frame and then clip a photo of scripture of your choice to the clip.  Now you can have an easily changing display for photos or scriptures.  I chose not to decorate the frame so that I can use it for all seasons but you could embellish the frame if desired.

With all the fabulous scripture stamps from Inspired Stamps, you could make this a "scripture a day" display!  Happy Resurrection Sunday to you all!

Cute Collage Cubes

I have had these Close To My Heart Collage Cubes for MONTHS!  I just could not decide exactly what I wanted to do with them.  When this creative block happens, I like to just keep the project sitting in my craft room for me to see every day.  Eventually I have an "AH HA" moment and can put the project together.

That moment came on Sunday when I noticed the cubes sitting next to these great family papers from Simple Stories.  They seem meant to go together!  After completing the cubes and holder, I still felt the project needed something and then I remembered the Tim Holtz "feet" I had stuck away!  A little E6000 glue on the four corners, add the feet and a nice project became a little more special!

 

 

 

Inspired Stamps Favorite

This week the inspired stamps design team chose their favorite stamp set to create with.  I can tell you, it was not easy to narrow down all the choices to my favorite but I finally settled on Winter Ruth.  Now, part of why I love her so much is I feel I had a tiny part in her creation-I had told Antoinette I would love a character stamp who could hold various objects in her hands.  Antoinette took that idea and created more than I could imagine!  Ruth is a larger character than the His Little Ones so she is so easy to color in.  She comes with 6 different items to place in her hands which makes her one of the most versatile stamps for several occasions.  For today's project I used the cross w/heart.  The set also includes 6 phrases to choose from.

For this project, I used up stuff  in my stash.  This was so easy to do since I had just reorganized all my embellies by color as Antoinette shared with us on her blog.  The pink canvas was left over from my craft show days last year and gave me the color to start with.  The tag on the bottom was stamped with 3 words from another of my fave inspired stamps' set-Perfect Christmas Sentiments.  As you can see, this is not a Christmas project at all but there are several words on this set that are great for all year.

I chose once again to cut away the tree and snow bank from Ruth and then added "wings" with 2 silver leaves I've had forever!  I really was pleased that I was able to use up "stuff" and create a cute project with my favorite Inspired Stamp in the process!

Sneaky Peaky with Inspired Stamps

 

I was soooo excited about this new Inspired Stamps release that I actually had them ready to post last week!  Good thing I rechecked my calendar in time to make something for last week's post! There are some fun new designs you are going to love!  The closeup above is of a scripture from the new Lovely Lace set.  This set is just so perfect for your Valentine projects and will be released for purchase on Friday! 

 

I found these frames at Ikea before Christmas for 99 CENTS!  I grabbed up several without a clue as to what

I would do with them and I love what I came up with for the 1st one.  These are the colors that we plan to redo our kitchen in-Black, White and pops of red.  This is just a tiny sample of what the Lovely Lace set consists of.  You can see more on the next project below.

 This is a simple exploding box   If you need instructions to make one, just do an on-line search for explosion box.  There are a ton of tutorials.  For the top of the box I again used the Lovely Lace stamp set.  Isn't that doily stamp gorgeous?!

Inspired Stamps Sneaky Peeky and 150 Followers Winner

 

I am in love with this sweet new stamp from inspired stamps!  I promise it's not just because I had a tiny hand in her creation:)  This is the stamp I suggested in the recent contest and WON!  I asked for a stamp of one of the characters that could "hold" various items in their hands.  Antoinette really took the idea and did wonders with it.  The result is this fabulous large size His Little Ones Winter Ruth that will go on sale Friday at noon.  She comes with several "hands" holding various items and some great sentiments you can use throughout the winter months.

  I just had to  create something special with Winter Ruth and I chose to place her on a glass block.  Since there's a hole in the bottom of the block, I can add white Christmas lights to the inside for extra sparkle.  I adhered a piece of snowflake paper to the back of the block.  After stamping Ruth, I colored her with Copics and added bits of Glitz glitter glue and Liquid Applique for her coat trim and snow on the ground and tree.  Ribbon, sparkles and snowflakes complete the wintry scene.  I chose the ornament and pop dotted in place to really create a great effect.

Harvest Happiness Candle

This came together so quickly.  I needed a birthday gift for one of my fellow Scrapbook Divas and I have been giving them all embellished candles this year.  This friend is not "blingy" enthralled like some of us so I didn't want to add a lot of sparkle.  I had made another project using the Close To My Heart Harvest Happiness stamp set and I had several leaves and an acorn left over. 

I simply tied a ribbon around the candle and then hot glued everything else in place.  OF COURSE, the shapes were all cut with the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge and then stamped with the coordinating stamps from the Harvest Happiness stamp set.  I used several shades of brown and orange to get the variegated look for the leaves.

Glory to God

 

I believe I've told you before my fave color combo is blue and white.  If my hubby would let me, the whole house would be in shades of blue and white!  As it is, the center and largest part of my home is --the kitchen and dining room.  The color combo just makes me happy.

Today at inspired stamps, we were told that we could choose whatever we wanted to create.  So, of course, I went to my go to colors and my fave holiday!  This project uses the must have Blessed Christmas stamp set.  I stamped in Versamark ink and then embossed in white.  

Did you notice I have not called this project a card?  Does it look like a card?  Well, it's not!  I tend to buy things in multiples when I find a good price and think I could use it to sell my crafts or give as gifts.  This little goody is no exception and has been sitting in a drawer for a year just waiting for the right idea to come along.  Know what it is yet?

That's right, I can use this pretty project on my refrigerator or send it as a Christmas card that can be used and re-used:)  Now, I wish I had twice as many!

Inspired Stamps Chalkboard and Giveaway

Thankful Easel Chalkboard

As so often happens with my artwork, this little project was a result of what was laying on my desk following a week of crafting frenzy! 


Most of the elements of this chalkboard are actually leftovers from other projects that I tweaked for this Inspired Stamps Design Team assignment.  Our mission: create a thankful project.
Of course, I had to use the adorable HLO:Thankful Girl.  She’s so sweet in her dressy outfit.  Please click on the photo so you can see the details.  I gave her sparkly shoes to go with her sparkly flower in her hair.  The leaves are stamped with the “Thanks” stamp from the More Perfect Sentiments set (again to see this clearly, click on the photo). The gold embossed sentiment is from the same set and I actually altered it a bit to use for my purpose by cutting off the word “you” at the end.  The beauty of these clear stamps is that in the future I can replace the “you” at the end of the phrase by putting them both on a block and stamp it as needed.  

The people I am thankful for are written in chalk because the black cardstock is actually Chalk Stock:).

Dreamin' Easel Calendar

I have had fun making and teaching the 4x4 easel cards the last couple of weeks.  Thank you to Anoinette for the video tutorial.  While looking at one of the cards the other day, it hit me that they would make a cute desk calendar.  I had just received these mini calendars I had ordered from Skybluepink, so I got to work.

I am also submitting this to the color challenge at www.heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com.  I used the gorgeous Dreamin' papers from Close To My Heart. The rolled flowers, leaves and bracket were cut from the CTMH AP cricut cart..  The bird medallion is just too cute for words and it is part of the CTMH Harvest Charms set.

inspired stamps-Acrylic Wall Hanging

I made this in early July,  took photos, hung it in my den and forgot to post it!  These colors are not ones I typically use in my art but the center "frame" paper was left over from another project and I thought it would hold a scripture from inspired stamps perfectly.  Luckily, I was correct! The scripture is from E3013 His Cross stamp set that came out for Easter but the scriptures are appropriate for any time of year. This scripture is near and dear to my heart because I claim it every day for my healing from MS and spinal cord damage.

It appears this paper and this stamp were made for each other.  The background paper and the butterflies are from a kit I bought on clearance months ago and then just could not decide what to do with them.  I adhered the scripture page to the front of the acrylic page and the background paper to the back.
