Challenge Entry

This is my entry for the new Close To My Heart challenge blog at
www.heart2heartchallenges.blogspot.com.  The challenge was to use CTMH products and the colors sweet leaf, chocolate and sunflower.  The wood dress form is one I bought from "glue" (www.howdoyouglue.com).  I used CTMH cardstock for the dress and embellishments.  I ran the dress through my Cuttlebug using the birds and swirls embossing folder.  I used a file to distress the embossing and reveal the white core of the cardstock.  I cut the sunflowers out with my Cricut (Walk in My Garden cart).  The "sleeves" are made from a sunflower cut in half.  The hem is a strip of cardstock that I stamped with the scallop stamp from the CTMH March Stamp of the Month "A Little Everything".  I used the bee and "bee yourself" sentiment from the CTMH Spring Petite Perks stamp set.  I tied a piece of ribbon from the CTMH "sweet leaf collection" around the waist.  I had to use some bling all over with Stickles.  I can't wait to try CTMH's new glitter glue that is coming out in the Summer Idea Book on May 1st!  Maybe I'll break my Stickles addiction!  Now, to decide if I mail it off to a friend or keep it for myself....

Risen Indeed!

I wanted to make a special glass block light for the glorious Easter season.  I used Storybook to cut the letters and flourishes.  The cross was cut with the Easter cart.  All were cut out of purple vinyl.  I attached the vinyl to a piece of "vine" vellum and added some purple crystals.  I attached the vellum using a sheet of double-sided adhesive.  I finished it off with lavander taffeta ribbon and a gossamer white ribbon. I put a string of white lights inside. He is risen indeed!

Easter Lollipop Flowers

This was so easy!  I used a ceramic watering pitcher I bought at Michael's last summer.  I used floral foam inside and covered with Easter grass.  I punched holes in paper flowers and then thread a lollipop through.  I cut the sentiment using my Easter Cricut cartridge.  Added some sparkle with orange Stickles and called it done!

Artisan's Craft Mall

For all of you who are local, my sister and I now have a space at the Artisan's Craft Mall on 377 in Granbury.  Please come by and see all of our goodies!  We are in a small space for now but hope to expand if all goes well.  We were excited when one of my glass block banks sold within a couple of hours of setting up.

New glass block

My sister special ordered this for a co-worker.  My computer had a "worm" so I couldn't use my Design Studio.  I wasn't sure I remembered how to use the Cricut the "old-fashioned" way but I think it turned out pretty nice.  This is a small glass block from Hobby Lobby.  I used a piece of vellum for the background and adhered brown vinyl to the vellum.  "Faith" is from Home Accents and the rest is from Home Decor.

You just have to love those $ bins at Michaels and JoAnns.  I picked up these colorful frames at Michaels.  I removed the easel backs and left the clear plastic in place (it appears to be glued in).  I chose several fonts from my Cricut cartridges and cut out the letters in black vinyl.  I applied them to the front of the plastic and set them on the ledge shelf.  Easy peasy!
